Cedar Linen-Closet Shelving
The space she had been waiting for.
A local business owner called SHB to help make something special for his wife. A converted room and a pile of rough-sawn cedar were the starting point for the linen space she had been waiting for.

Bring the boards into the room
Each board needed attention before it could become a shelf. SHB flattened the cedar, filled knots with black epoxy and worked through high-grit sanding. An Italian finish brought out the changing color and grain.
Built around an everyday need
The finished shelves give linens and household supplies a place of their own. The cedar’s natural edges and color remain visible, turning practical storage into a room with character.
The shop photographs show the material and the work behind those shelves. The customer’s response after receiving them made the purpose clear: the space was finally ready to use.
