From beams to a meeting place

The story begins with the wood laid out in the shop. Preparation and finishing bring the grain forward across the broad surface. In the finished room, that same material becomes the place where people meet.

Let the business become part of the piece

The central hardware display gives the table a connection to what the customer makes. STL emblems and the bolt-mounted wall sign carry that identity through the room. These are details made for this business, rather than decoration added to an anonymous table.

Built through relationships

When Ryan shared the finished work in May 2025, he connected it to the relationships helping SHB move into its next chapter. The commission brought the shop’s material experience, fabrication and personal attention into a commercial setting.
