He called for his daughter.
A father and farmer called early with a clear purpose: his daughter’s wedding at the family farm had to be something special. SHB built the tables around the gathering he was planning for her.

Maple, glass and rebar
The commission brought together four figured-maple barrel cocktail tables and two glass-top rebar builds with welded footrests. The glass-top pieces carried Buffalo Trace and Pappy Van Winkle engraving, with each detail chosen for the occasion.
A promise made tangible
The workshop photographs show the different tops, the barrel forms and the finished details. The handoff photograph brings the work back to the person who started it: a dad making good on a promise to his daughter.
