Andrew Dunseith
A record of service. A nationwide effort.
For Marine Master Sergeant Andrew “Andy” Dunseith, this retirement piece came together through the efforts of service members across the country. SHB’s part was to turn that shared effort into a cabinet and display worthy of the person it would honor.
Start with what deserves to be kept
A folded flag, medals, ribbons and insignia each hold part of a career. The workshop photographs show the arrangement being worked through before it becomes the finished circular display. The purpose is personal: give those details a place where they can be seen together.
Carry the story inside
Below the shadow-box top, the open barrel cabinet reveals an engraved shelf. The Marine Corps creed, rank emblem, name and service dates make the dedication specific to Andrew and the life of service behind it.
Follow through to the occasion
SHB worked through Memorial Day weekend to complete the project. The effort extended beyond the shop, bringing the finished piece to Quantico, Virginia. The presentation photograph brings Andrew, fellow service members and the work together in one frame.
The people make it matter
This is why recognition has a place in SHB’s story. The materials and fabrication are part of the work; the trust, the cooperation and the person receiving it give the work its meaning.
