MSgt Brian Mason
Twenty years of service, in one display.
Bridgett reached out to SHB with a request for her husband, USAF MSgt Brian Mason: “I want it to reflect him.” His 20 years of service gave the work its purpose and the display its contents.

Start with the person
SHB listened, developed the design and worked through the arrangement of rank, service and earned recognition. The engraved name and service dates sit alongside ribbons, insignia, coins and badges, bringing the individual details into one record.
A barrel cap becomes a shadow box
An authentic whiskey barrel cap became a wall-mounted shadow box, seven inches deep. The round wood form and dark surround hold the display together while leaving the personal history visible.
The finished handoff
The photographs follow the layout at the bench and the completed piece with Brian and Ryan. SHB is grateful to Bridgett and Brian for trusting the shop with a display that carries so much of his life in service.
